Be Cheerful

Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. —1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (MSG)

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you (1 Peter 4:12 NIV). Find comfort and strength in the fact that God is with you. When you go through deep waters, He will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you (Isaiah 43:2 NLT). Be cheerful, knowing that with God on our side, we shall overcome.
