Unshakable & Assured

“I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” —John 16:33 (MSG)

Jesus said, “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27 NLT). Why seek peace in the things of this world? Jesus forewarned us that in this world, we will continue to experience difficulties. But our comfort and confidence lies in the fact that in Jesus, we are victorious. He has already overcome the world and everything in it. Don’t be moved by earthly events. In Christ, our Savior, we are unshakable. Stand strong on the sure foundation, and keep praising Him. When troubles arise, keep your eyes on Jesus and continue to follow Him, as He shows you the way through each and every situation. Rest assured that no matter what comes, Jesus has already won the victory.
