Brought Near

But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. —Ephesians 2:13 (NLT)

As children of God, our heavenly Father brings us near. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145:18 NKJV). He called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most (Hebrews 4:16 NLT). Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water (Hebrews 10:22 NLT).
