The Battle is the LORD’s

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted.
…and that all this assembly may know that the LORD does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the LORD’s and He will give you into our hands.”1 Samuel 17:45, 47 (NASB)

So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. (1 Samuel 17:50a NKJV). David prevailed over his enemies because he knew that it was not about him, but God. He looked beyond the size of Goliath and saw his great big God. When the enemy taunts you, do you respond with the Word of God (your sword)? Let us have the proper perspective of the giants we face. Our God is always bigger and mightier and He will deliver us from the hand of our enemy!
