casting all your cares

…casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].  —1 Peter 5:7 (AMP)

This Scripture gives us two things to do. First, we have to cast our cares. That means we have to let them go. Release them to God. Notice it says “ALL” your cares. Don’t hold onto one, thinking you know better than God how to fix it. Psalm 55:22 in The Message Bibles says, “Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin.” If you are still worrying about something, that's a good indication that you have not cast it.

The second thing this Scripture requires us to do is believe that God cares about us. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV). Know that God cares about you. He lavishes His love on you and sent His only Son to die for you. Trust Him to work everything together for good in your life.
