He Promises Us His Presence

And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.” —Exodus 33:14 (NASB)

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. (2 Peter 1:3-4 NLT)

Jesus has an open invitation for us to come to Him. He meets us right where we are. The Word of God is full of promises, but the best promise of all is His Presence. He promises to be with us forever. In Matthew 28:20 Jesus said, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” In His Presence we have peace and power to do all that God has given us to do. Amen.
