Set Your Hope

Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death [and were convinced that we would die, but this happened] so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead. He rescued us from so great a threat of death, and will continue to rescue us. On Him we have set our hope. And He will again rescue us [from danger and draw us near], —2 Corinthians 1:9-10 (AMP)

In the midst of severe trials, let us trust solely in our mighty God. “…blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.” (Jeremiah 17:7 NLT) So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD! (Psalm 31:24 NLT) He delivers the righteous out of all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NASB)
