Why all this Trouble?

Then Moses went back to the Lord and protested, “Why have you brought all this trouble on your own people, Lord? Why did you send me? Ever since I came to Pharaoh as your spokesman, he has been even more brutal to your people. And you have done nothing to rescue them!”
Exodus 5:22-23 (NLT)

Sometimes when we follow the Lord's instructions, things seem to get worse. And like Moses, we throw ourselves little pity parties, where we whine and complain and accuse God of doing nothing. God never promised us it would be easy, but that He would get us through it. While we do not always see the big picture, we can treasure the Lord's declaration in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Amen.

Love,
Jackie
