Our Only Hope

So Jesus said to the twelve [disciples], “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Simon Peter answered, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You [alone] have the words of eternal life [you are our only hope].  —John 6:67 (AMP)

In John 6:48 & 51, Jesus was teaching that He is the living bread that came down from heaven, the bread that gives life. He also said whoever eats this bread will live forever. But some of the people did not believe and from that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. (John 6:64,66).

But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (John 6:68-69 NKJV). May you believe and know, without a doubt, that Jesus is our only hope. The only true hope we have to offer this world is Jesus, the giver of life.

Be Captivated by Christ
