Safe & Sound

No need to panic over alarms or surprises, or predictions that doomsday’s just around the corner, because God will be right there with you; he’ll keep you safe and sound. —Proverbs 3:25-26 (MSG)

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, were bound and cast into a fiery furnace that was seven times hotter than usual. (Daniel 3:19-21). But the Son of God was with them in the midst of the fire and they were loosed (Daniel 3:25). When they came out of the fire, they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. (Daniel 3:27)

Though we will have trouble in this world, we are to let the peace of God rule in our minds and hearts. Things may get a little hot for us, but God is with us and He will keep us safe and sound. And Jesus, our Savior, has set us free from any bondages of the enemy and given us the victory! Hallelujah and Amen!

Be Captivated by Christ

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” — Daniel 3:16-18 (NASB1995) Our attitude and mindset should be similar to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego before they were thrown into the fiery furnace.
