Get out of the Pit

I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD. —Psalm 40:1-3 (NLT)

The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. (Psalm 25:8 NLT) Just reflecting on the goodness of God and so grateful He called me out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9b) He reached down and lifted me out of the pit of despair and destruction. If you are in a pit today, He is calling out to you. His hand is extended toward you. Grab a hold of our heavenly Father and get out of that pit. Amen.
