CHOSEN

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; —1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

We are a chosen generation! God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4) We are chosen to show others the goodness of God, to tell about the wonderful works of our awesome God. We are chosen to be a holy people, God’s very own possession. We are chosen and called children of Almighty God, and co-heirs with Christ.

In the past you had never received mercy, but now you have received God’s mercy. (1 Peter 2:10) We are chosen to receive God’s grace and mercy. Chosen to live in His marvelous light, and walk in His love. We are chosen with a purpose to execute His perfect will and plan on the earth. Let us be about our Father's business.

 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance. —Psalm 33:12 (NKJV)
