Boast in His Name

Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the LORD our God. Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm. —Psalm 20:7-8 (NLT)

In Genesis 4:26 (AMP), men began to call on the name of the Lord [in worship through prayer, praise, and thanksgiving]. Let us continually lift His name on high. From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised. (Psalm 113:3 NASB)

Before David conquered His enemy, he declared “I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts….” (1 Samuel 17:45 NASB) Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 124:8 NKJV) May we trust in the name of the LORD and rely upon our God. (Isaiah 50:10)  When we boast in His name, we will rise up and stand firm!

The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe. —Proverbs 18:10 (NLT)
