Focus on Jesus

[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God… —Hebrews 12:2 (AMP)

Look to the LORD our God. Our help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (See Psalm 121:2) He will not allow your foot to slip; The LORD is your keeper; The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever. (Psalm 121:3a,5a,7,8 NASB) May we keep our eyes focused on Jesus and on accomplishing the goal He has set before us. We stay focused on Jesus (the Livng Word) by faithfully standing on the Word, and not being shaken by earthly circumstances. Remember, Jesus has already overcome the world.

Be Captivated by Christ
