Live in the Light

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” —John 8:12 (NASB)

As we continually live in the light, we share unbroken fellowship with our heavenly Father. To live in the light, we have to be hearers and doers of the Word. In Luke 11:28 (NLT), Jesus replied, “…even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:6-7 NLT)
