Half Dead?

Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. —Luke 10: 30 (NKJV)

Have you ever felt deserted on the roadside of life, half dead? A certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where this man was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. Today, we have Jesus. He meets us wherever we are, and has compassion on us. Hallelujah! 

The Samaritan went to the man, soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged him up. Then he set him on his own donkey, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. (See Luke 10:33-34) Our awesome God heals our wounds, brings us into His house and takes care of us. Praise the Lord for His great grace, lovingkindness and mercy! May we too, have compassion for our neighbors. Let us share the light and love of God with everyone He puts on our path. Amen.

Be Captivated by Christ
