Keep Watch & Pray

“Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” —Mark 14:38 (NASB1995)

Let us keep watch and pray without ceasing. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12) First Peter 5:8 (NLT) says: Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. (2 Corinthians 10:3-4 NLT) Believers ought to always pray and not lose heart. (See Luke 18:1)
