Confidently Trust

Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. —Psalm 112:4, 7 (NLT)

In John 16:33 (TPT) Jesus said, “…in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows…” So, beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though something strange were happening to you. (1 Peter 4:12)  Jesus went on to say, “…you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”

Focusing on problems leads to anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. When we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can experience perfect peace at all times. Confidently trust in the LORD and in His Word. In Isaiah 43:2 (NLT), the LORD says: “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” No matter what you are going through, God will make a way through.
