Members of His Family

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens [outsiders without rights of citizenship], but you are fellow citizens with the saints (God’s people), and are [members] of God’s household, —Ephesians 2:19 (AMP)

We are not called into a religion, but into a relationship with our heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are God’s holy people, and members of His family. Let us live as children of light. …prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish in the midst of a [morally] crooked and [spiritually] perverted generation, among whom you are seen as bright lights [beacons shining out clearly] in the world [of darkness], (Philippians 2:15 AMP) Be a beacon of His light.

With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. —Ephesians 4:17-18 (NLT)
