Brought Near

But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. —Ephesians 2:13 (NLT)

At one time we were living apart from Christ. We lived in this world without God and without hope. (See Ephesians 2:12 NLT). But, Praise God, we who were once so very far away from God have been brought near by the blood of Christ. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:16)

But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do. —Psalm 73:28 (NLT)
