It’s Crucial

This is why it is so crucial that we be all the more engaged and attentive to the truths that we have heard so that we do not drift off course. —Hebrews 2:1 (TPT)

It is crucial that we be more engaged and attentive to the truth. The Amplified Bible says: We must pay much closer attention than ever to the things that we have heard, so that we do not [in any way] drift away from truth. (Hebrews 2:1) When you know the truth, it will set you free. (See John 8:32)

…Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And now we are part of his house if we continue courageously to hold firmly to our bold confidence and our victorious hope. (Hebrews 3:6 NLT/TPT) Don't let the waves of this world cause you to drift away from the truth. Our hope in Christ is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls that leads us into God’s inner sanctuary. (See Hebrews 6:19 NLT)

Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. that there not be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to trust and rely on the Lord, a heart] that turns away from the living God. (Hebrews 3:12 NLT/AMP) For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. (Hebrews 3:14 NLT)
