Magnify the Lord

And Mary said, “My soul magnifies and exalts the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.”
Luke 1:46-47 (AMP)

When Mary believed and received the word spoken to her from the Lord, she rejoiced and exalted the Lord. After the shepherds found their way to Jesus, Luke 2:20 (NASB 1995) says: The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them. The mark of a heart that has believed and received the Messiah is an ecstatic praising of all that He has done. When we have a personal encounter with Jesus, our Savior, we can’t help but give glory to God and rejoice in the Lord.

Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. (Psalm 95:1 NKJV) Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:2 NKJV)
