First Place

He is the divine portrait, the true likeness of the invisible God, and the firstborn heir of all creation. He is the Head of his body, which is the church. And since he is the beginning and the firstborn heir in resurrection, he is the most exalted One, holding first place in everything. —Colossians 1:15, 18 (TPT)

Christ is to occupy first place in everything. Today, as we celebrate the birth of JESUS, may He be at the forefront of all our festivities. Instead of focusing on the material gifts that will not last, may it be His everlasting Presence that we hold near and dear in our hearts. May the eternal and ever-flowing love of Jesus consume us all, not only today, but throughout the year. Let us be mindful of Jesus and all that He has done to rescue, redeem, and restore humanity.
