Boast Only in the LORD

Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD. —Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NASB1995)

Let no one boast in men, about their wisdom, their future plans, or of the material goods they possess. James 4:16 says: …as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. May we boast only in YAHWEH, He is clothed with splendor and majesty. His right hand is majestic in power, His right hand shatters the enemy. (See Exodus 15:6) He laid the foundation of the earth, and stretched out heaven like a tent curtain. He walks upon the wings of the wind; He makes the winds His messengers, flaming fire His ministers. (See Psalm 104:1-5) 

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. (See Ephesians 1:3-4) Let us seek to know and understand the LORD, who exercises lovingkindness toward us. My soul will make its boast in the LORD; the humble will hear it and rejoice. (Psalm 34:2 NASB1995)
