Continually Give Thanks

in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. —1 Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP)

Being thankful begins with having an attitude of gratitude. Realizing that it is not because of our works that we deserve the good things of God, but by grace that He has generously given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. (See Ephesians 2:8-9 & 2 Peter 1:3) 

It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High. (Psalm 92:1 NLT) Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. (Psalm 105:1) He forgives all our sins, heals all our diseases; He redeems our lives from the pit, and crowns us [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy; The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. (See Psalm 103:3-4,6 AMP) Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles. His faithful love endures forever. (Psalm 136:4 NLT)

Offer to YAHWEH a sacrifice of thanksgiving. …giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors Him. If you keep to His path, He will reveal to you His salvation. (See Psalm 50:23 NLT) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. (Colossians 3:15 NASB1995)
