Inward Transformation

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. —Romans 12:2 (TPT)

Let us regularly renew our minds with the Word of God, so we can be continually transformed from the inside out. The worldly culture focuses on “me, myself and I.” It gives more attention to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life. (See 1 John 2:16) So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. (See Romans 8:6 NLT) The Message Bible says: Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. (Romans 8:6-8) Amen.
