Speak Life

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. —Proverbs 18:21 (AMP)

Let us choose to speak words of life, wisdom, and truth. A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life, but a perversive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit. (Proverbs 15:4 AMP) Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. (Psalms 34:12-14 NLT) Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. (Colossians 4:6 NASB1995)

Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips. —Psalms 141:3 (NASB1995)
