Rely on God

We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.  —2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT)

In the midst of whatever challenges and hardships we experience in this life, may we learn to rely only on our mighty God, and trust Him at all times. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” (Romans 10:11 NASB1995) Keep pressing on, knowing that with God all things are possible. Take care, brothers and sisters, that there not be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to trust and rely on the Lord, a heart] that turns away from the living God. (Hebrews 3:12 AMP)
