A Greater Power

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.
2 Chronicles 32:7-9 (NIV)

King Hezekiah encouraged his troops with these words. We too can be strong and courageous because we have a greater power with us, the LORD our God. The battle is not yours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Do what God calls you to do and rely on Him for the rest. Our heavenly Father helps us and causes us to be victorious. Be confident of this.
