A Loyal Heart

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.
1 Chronicles 28:9 (NKJ)

These are some of the final words that King David speaks to his son, Solomon as he makes him king and they are words of wisdom to us as well. May we acknowledge our heavenly Father in all that we do and get to know Him well. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Let us serve Him with loyal hearts and willing minds, as we seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Cherish the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul.
