He Rejoices over You

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” —Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT)

Our heavenly Father is much like the father of the prodigal son. He only wants the best for us. When the lost son came home, his father told his servants, “Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” And they began to be merry. (Luke 15:22-24 NKJV)

God adores His children and enjoys spending time with us. He wants us to continually abide in Him. We call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23) How do you respond to His gracious, generous love? Let us respond with grateful hearts, and thankful attitudes. Respond by loving Him and drawing closer to Him, each and every day.
