Know Him

Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD. —Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NKJV)

Our greatest pursuit in this life is to truly know the LORD. The most valuable and precious thing we can possess is an ever growing understanding of who He is;  His gracious and merciful nature. He is love, therefore everything He does, demonstrates His unfailing love for us. He is loyal, forgiving and faithful. He brings justice and righteousness to the earth. Jesus was pierced for our transgressions, and crushed for our iniquities; (Isaiah 53:5). He shed His blood and gave His life to set us free and give us eternal life in the presence of our heavenly Father. Let us press on to know Him and make Him known.
