Eyes on Jesus

“Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. —Matthew 14:29-30 (NLT)

As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he was able to do the impossible. When he started to look at the external circumstances around him, he began to sink. Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus. [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith… (Hebrews 12:2 AMP)
