Put It On

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. —Romans 13:12 (NKJV)

So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. (Romans 13:12 NLT) But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! (Romans 13:11-12 MSG) Get out of bed and get dressed! Don’t loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute. Dress yourselves in Christ, and be up and about! (Romans 13:14 MSG)

Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. —Psalm 112:4 (NLT)
