The Giver

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. —James 1:17 (NASB)

God is a giver. Receive His love, grace and mercy. Some people walk past His gifts, not realizing that He offers, exactly what they seek. Others receive the gift and never open it up. They just let it fade into the background of their lives. By His divine power, God has graciously given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. (See 2 Peter 1:3) John 10:10 (AMP), says Jesus came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. Our heavenly Father has given us everything we need to live and enjoy life. Everything we need is available to us. How many of His gifts have you left unwrapped?

Isaiah 26:3 tells us, that He will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him, all whose thoughts are fixed on Him! But some never unwrap His gift of perfect peace and therefore are anxious, fearful and worried. If we never unwrap His gift of joy, we lack strength. The joy of the LORD is our strength. Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) says, in His presence is fullness of joy; at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. 

And the greatest gift of all, is His Son: Yeshua. Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:28 NLT) Receive His gift and become intimately acquainted with Immanuel, God with us.

Be Captivated by Christ
