The Greatest Joy

My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. —James (Jacob) 1:2-3 (TPT)

In John 16:33 (NLT), Jesus said: “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” As long as we live in this world, we can expect to go through some adverse situations. …but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NASB1995) We can experience the greatest joy, knowing that whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (See 1 John 5:4 NASB1995) Hebrews 12:3 (NLT) tells us to think of all the hostility Jesus endured from sinful people; then we won’t become weary and give up.
