Under Construction

"So this Sheshbazaar came and laid the foundations of the house of God in Jerusalem. From that day to the present it has been under construction but is not yet finished."
Ezra 5:16 (NIV)

After being exiled to Babylon, the people of God were allowed to go back to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple of the LORD, which had been destroyed. We are under construction also. First Peter 2:5 says we are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood. Like the temple of God, we have been broken down but when we gave our lives to Jesus, God's construction project began. We are God's building and His Presence dwells in us. May we submit to the work of the Master Builder. With His hands He will make us into a beautiful and unique masterpiece.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter.
