“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”  —John 15:5 (NASB)

Apart from Jesus, that is cut off from vital union with Him we can do nothing. (See John 15:5 AMP) Our union with Jesus is vital for life, growth and fruitfulness. It is prideful to think we can do life on our own, apart from Him. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. (Proverbs 16:18) Apart from Him, we can nothing of eternal significance. Stay connected.

…be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. —Ephesians 6:10 (AMP)
