Choose the Good Part

“But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” —Luke 10:41-42 (NASB)

Mary seated herself at the Lord’s feet, and was listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations. (See Luke 10:39-40) Don’t let this world with it’s endless demands and distractions keep you from the one necessary thing. What an honor and privilege to be able to spend time in the presence of our great King and mighty Savior. Choose the good part and spend time with Jesus, listening to His Word. Let us continually offer Him a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. Genuinely worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Be Captivated by Christ

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter.
