Wait on the LORD

Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! —Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)

Wait patiently and with great expectation that the LORD will show up and show out. Our mighty God is a miracle-working God and a faithful Promise Keeper. Psalm 37:34 (NKJV) says: Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. So, while we wait we are to keep His way. We are to do those things He has already instructed us to do: walk in love, forgive, rejoice always, be thankful, be anxious for nothing, etc. The Passion Translation says: don’t be impatient for Yahweh to act; keep moving forward steadily in his ways… Those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up. (See Isaiah 40:31 TPT)

Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you! —Psalm 27:14 (TPT)
