Something Brand-New

It is because of the LORD’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. —Lamentations 3:22-23 (AMP)

We tend to look for God to do things the same way He did them before, but the LORD is always doing something new. Don’t compare how He works in your life to how He is working in someone else’s, or how He worked in your life in the past to how He is working now. Reach forward to what lies ahead, and don’t turn back. Press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. (See Philippians 3:13-14 NLT)

This is what God says, “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.” —Isaiah 43:19 (MSG)
