Arise & Shine!

“…the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.” —Matthew 4:16 (NLT)

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” (John 8:12 NASB) Walk in the light that leads to life, a more abundant life here on earth and an eternal life thereafter. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. (See Philippians 2:15 NLT) With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. (Ephesians 4:17 NLT) For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! (Ephesians 5:8 NLT)

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. —Isaiah 60:1-2 (NKJV)
