Far Greater

Little children, you can be certain that you belong to God and have conquered them, for the One who is living in you is far greater than the one who is in the world. —1 John 4:4 (TPT)

Those of us who belong to God have already won the victory over the evil forces of this world. Because we have the Holy Spirit residing in us, we have the same power in us that raised Christ from the dead. No matter what dark valley you go through, have no fear. We may be pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We may be perplexed, but we are not driven to despair. We may get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (See 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT) We can always get back up again. Far greater is the One in us than the one in the world. Keep your eyes on Jesus, continually pressing forward to what lies ahead. Take each step in faith, in full confidence that our Heavenly Father has provided everything we need to live an abundant, victorious and godly life.
