Be Wise

“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.” —Matthew 7:24-25 (NASB)

No matter what you build your house on, the winds of adversity are going to blow and beat on your house. The flood waters of trouble are going to come whether you build on sand or the rock. It is not wise to build your life on the shifting sands of what the current culture says is right. The one who builds their life on the Word of God, with Jesus as the Chief Cornerstone is wise. Whoever trusts in this stone as a foundation will never have cause to regret it. (See 1 Peter 2:7 MSG)
