Submit & Resist

Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. —James 4:7-8 (NASB1995)

May we live submitted to the authority of Yahweh and His Word. Instead of entertaining the temptation and lies of the enemy and this world, resist them. Our loyalty cannot be divided between God and the world. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:4) As we wholeheartedly come close to God, He will draw near to us.
