A Gift from God

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. —2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (NLT)

What God has given us in Christ is the most perfect gift of all. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:19 NLT)  Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ. (See 2 Corinthians 2:14)  As Christ’s representatives, may the way we live our lives (walking in love, full of joy and peace), draw others to Jesus. Our actions speak louder than the words we speak. Let us be model citizens in the Kingdom of God, that leave others wanting what we are so abundantly blessed to receive.

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” —2 Corinthians 5:20 (NLT)

Be Captivated by Christ
