Cry Out

And two blind men sitting by the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!” The crowd sternly told them to be quiet, but they cried out all the more, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”Matthew 20:30-31 (NASB1995)

Do not let the crowd stop you from calling on our great and awesome God. Instead of being silent, cry out all the more. When the righteous cry [for help], the LORD hears and rescues them from all their distress and troubles. (Psalm 24:17 AMP) In Matthew 20:33-34, the blind men said to Jesus “Lord, we want our eyes to be opened.” Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. (Psalm 103:8 NASB1995) Hallelujah! And the appropriate response to His generosity and goodness is to follow Him. Amen.
