Lift Up Your Eyes

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. —Psalm 121:1-2 (NASB1995)

Bow down with a humble heart before Yahweh, and lift up your eyes to Him. The LORD is for us among those who help us; Therefore we will look with satisfaction on those who hate us. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes. (See Psalm 118:7-9) Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. (Psalm 32:10 NASB1995) Trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. (See Psalm 52:8) How blessed is the man who has made the LORD his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood. (Psalm 40:4 NASB1995)
