Where is Your Faith?

They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” —Luke 8:24-25a (NASB1995)

We all put our faith in something. Some believe in luck or karma. Some believe in political leaders and governments to take care of them. Others orchestrate their lives based on what the world says, who is under the influence of the evil one. This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.” (Jeremiah 17:5 NLT)

Our peace, hope, and victory are in Christ. In John 10:10 (NLT) Jesus says His purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life. In John 11:25 (NASB1995) Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies. He also said: “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.” (John 14:1 (NASB) Have faith in Yahweh and in Jesus, the Son of God, our Savior.

Be Captivated by Christ
