The Shield of Faith

in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. —Ephesians 6:16 (NASB)

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:10 NASB) In addition to all the other pieces of armor, when we take up the shield of faith, the Word says we will be able to extinguish (put an end to) ALL the flaming arrows the evil one sends our way. Amen and hallelujah! 

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread? (Psalm 27:1 NASB) Believe in God, believe also in our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. (See John 14:1)  Have faith in God. Trust in His goodness and His faithfulness. Let us declare the Word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) and keep ourselves protected with the shield of faith.

Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. —Hebrews 11:1 (AMP)

Be Captivated by Christ
